Frustration... and a ringing phone...

Still no Dreamweaver MX... my frustration continues to grow! However, at 9.20am this morning an email appeared in my inbox from a local agency telling me they had received an enquiry from a couple looking for a male escort for the wife. They'd duly passed on my number! Shortly before 10am this morning I was called by the husband asking for information.

Now this is the new bit for me! I'm not used to handling the negotiations. In the past all of my escorting experience has been casual, word of mouth and generally arranged by someone else. I have to admit that I probably came across as rather clueless on the phone!

Incredibly, I hadn't really anticipated how to respond when someone asks me for information! I suppose it's just one of those things that I assumed would just happen naturally... well, it doesn't! I now know it needs to be a rather well rehearsed, semi-scripted event, atleast initially - once the basic details are passed then of course, the rest of the converstaion is ad-lib, but initially you need to have worked out what you're going to tell potential clients.

Eventually the information was exchanged, including details of my build, my rates, notice required etc, I told him it would help me if I knew precisely what it was his wife was looking for. he described one of their previous escort encounters, I told him none of that would constitute a problem and he promptly rang off saying he'd be in touch.

Personally speaking, I doubt it... I think my call handling leaves much room for improvment and it's something I can and will work on whilst I wait for that damned dreamweaver MX to arrive!
