The Website goes BALLISTIC!
Well - after the hugely disappointing response from the Scarlet magazine advert (bit of an understatement), some happier news this week - and by the same token, probably evidence which rubs salt into the Scarlet wound!!!I found a new forum to contribute on last weekend, "X-North"... A forum not dissimilar to Punterlink but catering for, predominantly, the North East. I initially approached the site with a request for a banner link which was accepted and I was invited to contribute to the forum. I have to say that this flew in the face of most responses I have had from similar styled forums/escort related communities. My reception on the forum was an even greater shock!
Now I've heard it said time and time again that "folk 'oop norf" are far more friendly than folk in the South (controversial stereotyping, I know), but could it be that they are also more forward thinking and open minded??? The reception was staggering - from the girls and the boys and I had a couple of personal messages and emails saying it was time that the site had a male escort section!
Bearing in mind that the Scarlet ad has only raised the daily average hit rate by 1 or 2 hits from 4.7 through to a highest week of 7.71 average - hits generated through X-North have seen the daily average this week hit 36.74!! And that isn't strictly speaking through "advertising" - the Scarlet ad IS out and out advertising and it's achieved a big fat zero!
But the three hundred million, billion, trillion, thousand dollar question is - HAVE BOOKINGS INCREASED?" - well... lets just say that I am now, at last, beginning to get some enquiries!
So - is there really such a thing as the North/South divide and if so - what exactly does it mean to us!?
