Captain Of My Soul~

I am the Captain of My Soul
I will decide how
When and if at all I'll be
Sometimes I see you
Even Contemplating me
You'll always have to ask
Never order me that way
I might not want to do it
Could simply be the day
Chance could make me change my mind
Or perhaps a different mood
The things I wear and want to do
Are often misconstrued
It does not really matter
For I am me and you are simply you
Mistakes I'll make along the way
As Captain, "that's my call"
As My friend, I'll take your hand
"If" offered when I fall
You may step aboard My vessel
If you've been invited see
Never try to take the wheel
Nor ownership of Me
I will decide how My Soul will sail
Your welcome to travel with Me
