Ok I am pretty new to this having only done this for a little while independantly so .......
I decided to maybe try out some of the angencies to see what they had to offer and since I've talked with some of them regarding the "split" they all seem to think 1/2 is fair .............. me personally I dont think if we do all the work that they should get 1/2 so basically my question here is do you other ladies know if that is a normal cut for them or are they just being greedy and I should hold out for more? -------------------- For a really good time in chicago email me at ---> http://www.aprilbmine@yahoo.com

The way I look at it is I know they take all the calls and all the complaints and do work, but they have one place to pay the bills on and have many girls to pay that phone bill and rent for that location etc... Now I know agencies pay more for advertising etc... so obviously deserve thier share but I have heard of agencies that take way less. I feel if I were to work for an agency I would check to see how much advertising they are paying out and how well they do screen their clients, check to see what thier screening procedures are. That is one reason why I would preffer to remain independant. Before rushing into any agency I would recommend doing your homework and find out how well paid the girls are and how well treated they are etc... Also I believe most would supply a driver if needed which is also an expense and independant would have to endure on her own if she was doing outcalls. Which if doing outcalls would be like a security blanket to know that you had a driver you could call if something were to go wrong. But, I also believe that the rates could be different by location that you live at. The best advice I can give is to check out the rate of pay in different agencies in your area. Go with the one you feel most comfortable with. |

Personally, I feel more safe being independent. |

It is the most common split. however, some agencies also go for 70/30 which is very fair and nice. It all depends on the person who manages it. 50/50 is however what most ask.
The bad thing is that many also do not screen customers, pretend to have whatever a client want etc. you then face the risk to get rejected and wasted time and money for taxi maybe. A good agency is very difficult to find. also, as you might have to work with several agencies. A good one would be a professional agency with contacts around the world who can provide work all around etc. In some countries however, some top agencies exist who have a customer base in where money is not an issue. That is to look for...! If you getto know a good agency, with contacts around the world etc and with customers who are not price sensistive please let me know.... |

I think it would be a good idea for pockets of providers to ban together in certain areas, say 5 to 10 or so and form a kind of coop deal. They could all pitch in to hire a cool admin assistant that could work from home. The assistant would take care of screening as we show here we like it. As he/she does well, we could add more responsibilities like putting up ads, updating websites, etc.
However, we'd still be independent, just equally responsible for what goes on. We just pitch into the salary of one person, but it doesn't take half our paycheck. There are probably all sorts of legal issues with this that I haven't thought of. Just seemed like a cool idea. Take care, Leslie |

April, did you find an agency yet? If not, another option is to find a mentor in the biz, someone who has been doing this a few years and can show you the ropes. Just a thought.

I am an agency owner based in Toronto, Canada. If your looking for a good agency then please contact me. I have been doing this for over 7 years. The ladies I represent travel all over Canada and earn over $10K+ a week.
I also wanted to mention that with an Agency. The bills like advertising and staffing costs have to be paid every month regardless if they have ladies booking appointments or not. You have the option of booking on or off then you feel like it, but an agency has to be open all the time and answering the phones even when your not around. Its an almost 24hr operation and your paying the agency to always be available to arrange your appointments and do everything you don't feel like doing. Your also paying for my skills and experience in attracting upscale quality clients. The truth is that the agency really works for you and not the other way round. If you know what your doing and know how to market yourself correctly then you shouldn't have a need for an agencies services. Thanks Nicole |

Some girls arent organized and business minded but are excellent providers and need to pay agencies.
For good and busy agencies, the usually have a higher rate so the girl is getting about the same as an independent anyways. There is a sector of guys that trust agencies. |

Some places in adelaide take half and some only take 40%. it depends a lot where you are. the safety of working in an agency was the main draw for me until recently now i have gone private. i have been in the industry for 6 years and i got sick of the office politics. the bitchy gurls and the insane amount of skank i had to deal with, didnt matter how much i liked the owner or had friends. i dont want to work with filfth.
But when you are private u have rent, phone, ads and many other things to now pay for. sometimes its hard to see if its all worth it.
